Elevating your traditional front doors to be uniquely you is simple with our fully-custom design process. Overall, there are four key ways to customize traditional front doors. You can specify bespoke hardware, pick a complementary finish, select a textured glass, and add flair with door knockers. Overall, the difference between iron doors vs. wood doors is simple. Solid wood doors are typically made with a frame-and-panel construction that uses natural woods like soft pine, oak, or maple. Alternatively, iron or steel doors are more solid and secure, and they’re sealed and insulated to provide energy efficiency. Iron doors also boast lower maintenance compared to wood doors, and they’re less susceptible to warping, rot, and decay.
Choosing between a single vs. double door can be difficult, but we usually recommend customizing a double door if you have the space in you front entryway. Double doors can elevate your exterior architecture, expand your entryway, and invite more light inside given that they can feature more window panels.
