If your door suffers a scratch, we provide a touchup that can be used to easily address the situation. It’s important to touch up any scratches that could expose bare steel to prevent potential rust and preserve the quality and beauty of your door. Please see our Care and Cleaning instruction under the Features page for more information.
Custom patio doors are iron doors that feature handles, hinges, and hardware. On the other hand, window walls are large panels of custom windows that mimic the look of sweeping patio doors to create a view and enhance natural light — but they do not feature the functional passageway elements of patio doors that open and close.
When you’re designing custom patio doors, you can collaborate with our artisans to create fully-custom, hand forged hardware and pull handles. Or, you can choose from our fine selection of quality Emtek handles and locks — they are our trusted partner in all things hardware. Lastly, you can opt to choose a third-party vendor. If you love a specific hardware vendor, we’re happy to make accommodations during the design and installation process to work with them. For example, some clients have worked with local brands like Longleaf.
Caring for and maintaining our iron patio doors is simple. We recommend cleaning the door or doors at least twice a year to remove any buildup of pollen or other debris. To do this, simply clean all surfaces with a mild soap, water, and a non-abrasive wash cloth — be sure to wipe it dry it as well. Additionally, to seal up any small scratches that may appear, use the touch up kit that we provide upon installation. Our proprietary mix of copper and acrylic paint is specifically formulated for your selected finish and adheres best between 55-80°F.
